Past perfect continuous tense in hindi

Past perfect continuous tense का प्रयोग

1. इनसे बोध होता है की कोई कार्य एक निश्चित समय तक जारी था।
2. Direct speech में जब present perfect tense और reporting verb past tense में रहे तब indirect speech में past perfect continuous का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Past perfect continuous tense rule

पहचान :-

हिन्दी वाक्य के अंत में ता रहा था , ती रही थी , ते रहे थे ईत्यादि शब्द आते है।

Affirmative / simple sentence

_ Subject+ had + been + M.V(ing)+ Object + since/for

Note

1. Since का प्रयोग किसी निश्चित समय , दिन , महीने , वर्ष या घटना के पहले होता है। जैसे_ since August , since 9’o clock , since Sunday , since 1919 , since my childhood
2. For का प्रयोग period of time के पहले होता है। जैसे_ for three hours , for two months , for six years , for one week past perfect continuous tense

Negative sentence

_ Subject+ had + not + been + M.V(ing)+ Object + since/for

Interrogative sentence

_ Had + Subject + been+ M.V(ing)+ Object + since/for

Interrogative + Negative sentence

_ Had + Subject+ not + been + M.V(ing)+ Object + since/for

Past perfect continuous tense examples

Affirmative sentence

1. मोहन खाना पकाता रहा था।
👉 Mohan had been cooking food .
2. बच्चे मैदान मे क्रिकेट खेलते रहे थे।
👉 Childrens had been playing cricket in the field.
3. पूजा दो घंटे से पूजा करती रही थे।
👉 Pooja had been worshiping for two hours .
4. हमलोग सुबह से मैदान मे क्रिकेट खेलते रहे थे।
👉 we had been playing cricket in the ground since morning .
5. हमलोग यहां 20 सालो से रहते रहे थे।
👉 We had been living here for 20 years .

Negative sentence

1. कुसुम दो घंटे से कपड़े नही धोती रही थी।
👉 Kusum had not been washing clothes for two hours .
3. हमलोग गंगा नदी मे 30 मिनिट से नही नहाते रहे थे।
👉 We had not been bathing in Ganga river for 30 minutes.
3. वह सुबह से नही पढ़ता रहा है।
👉 He had not been studying since morning.
4. बच्चे फोन में सुबह से गेम नही खेलते रहे थे।
👉 Childrens had not been playing game in the cell phone since morning.
5. सोहन दस बजे से खाना नही बनाता रहा था।
👉 Sohan has not been cooking food since 10 o’ clock .

Interrogative sentence

1. क्या राहुल तालाब में दो घंटे से स्नान करता रहा था?
👉 Had rahul been bathing in the pond for two hours ?
2. क्या तुम सुबह से मैदान मे क्रिकेट खेलते रहे थे?
👉 Had you been playing cricket in the field since morning?
3. क्या हमलोग पांच दिनों से काम करते रहे थे?
👉 had we been working for five days?
4. क्या तुम पांच मिनिट से कॉफी बनाते रहे थे?
👉 Had you been making coffee for five minutes?
5.क्या तुम यहां दो घंटे से इंतजार करते रहे थे ?
👉 Had you been waiting here for two hours ?

Interrogative +Negative sentence

1. क्या रोहन और सोहन सुबह से किताब नही पढ़ते रहे थे?
👉 Had rohan and sohan not been reading book since morning?
3. क्या वह चार घण्टे से कम्प्यूटर नही चलाती रही थी?
👉 Had she not been operating computer for four hours?
3. क्या तुम गरीबों की मदद नही करते रहे थे?
👉 Had you not been helping poor people.
4. क्या तुम मंदिर मे सुबह से पूजा नही करते रहे थे?
👉 Had you not been worshiping in the temple since morning.
5. क्या मै एक महिने से रामायण नही पढ़ता रहा था?
👉 Had not been reading the Ramayana for one month .
